Funks Grove
Nature Spaces

A beautiful environment of nature and serenity.
Preserving Nature Since 1824
Established in 1824 when the Funks and Stubblefields staked their claims, our grounds have quietly witnessed over two centuries of the steady rhythm of nature, preservation, and legacy. What began as a humble home has become a historic sanctuary, surrounded by towering trees, wild grasses, and native wildflowers.
We honor those who came before us by preserving the simplicity and serenity of this space — no grand monuments, just honest earth, weathered stones, and the peaceful rustle of leaves overhead.

Whether you're learning about local history or simply walking among the quiet paths, we welcome you to reflect and find peace here.

Making Nature a Part of Everyday Life

Throughout the year, we open our historic grounds for organized groups, families, and individuals. These events offer space for reflection, learning, and community — all surrounded by the natural beauty of Funks Grove.
